Americas Cardroom introduces heads-up tables for all stake levels

4 March 2013

SAN JOSE, Costa Rica -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Competition at one of the most popular U.S.-facing online poker rooms is about to get way more personal. Americas Cardroom announced early this month the addition of heads-up tables to its already competitive lineup of ring games. The two-seat max tables are now available in all stake levels.

The addition of the new tables is just one of the upcoming changes happening at ACR this month. Americas Cardroom is also looking to attract the higher-stakes players by bumping their highest ring game stake from $15/$30 to $25/$50 in all game types.

"We're excited to deliver exactly what our players have been asking for," said Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris. "We've heard from many players via email and at our land-based events, and today we're delivering heads-up tables for everyone, no matter what their bankroll is like."

Heads-up tables, which limit the number of poker players at a table to two, are great for developing online poker rivalries. Heads-up play is also popular among players who want to hone their game and prepare themselves for heads-up action in tournaments.

Americas Cardroom has also added a new $25/$50 table limit to their mix of Texas Hold'em ring games. The $25/$50 tables will be available at regular and jackpot tables, giving players more opportunity to climb to the top of The Beast leaderboard.

The new additions are in response to player feedback, something that Americas Cardroom gathers through online poker forums, e-mail communication with players, and in person at live events like the Punta Cana Poker Classic and the upcoming Latin Series of Poker, which is entering its second year.

Harris notes that working with players to deliver the kind of online poker experience they demand is what sets Americas Cardroom apart from some of the competition. Players can expect more new enhancements in the coming weeks as the online poker site continues to respond to player feedback in a major way.
