'American Idol' winner Kris Allen to perform at the Suncoast Showroom23 December 2016(PRESS RELEASE) -- Singer-songwriter Kris Allen will bring his smooth vocals to the Suncoast Showroom on Saturday, 14 January. Allen took the top spot of the eighth season of "American Idol," and launched his musical career shortly after. The Arkansas native released his self-titled studio album that featured hit singles "Live Like We're Dying" and "The Truth," both of which peaked in the Top 20 on the U.S. charts. "Live Like We're Dying" went on to earn Platinum designation and sold more than 1.7 million copies. In 2012, Allen followed his initial success with the release of "Thank You Camellia," his second full-length studio album. The album featured the single "The Vision of Love," which reached #5 on the U.S. charts. His 2014 album "Horizons" peaked at #10 on the U.S. Billboard charts. Most recently, Allen released his fourth album, "Letting You In," in early 2016. Showtime is 8:30 p.m. Tickets start at $29 plus taxes and fees, and can be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000; online or in-person at gift shops inside The Orleans, Suncoast Hotel and Casino, Gold Coast Hotel and Casino and Sam's Town Hotel & Gambling Hall.
