America West Airlines Launches New Las Vegas Service

26 April 2004

PHOENIX, Arizona – (PRESS RELEASE) -- America West Airlines (NYSE: AWA), the nation's second largest low-fare airline, initiated new service today between its Las Vegas hub and Burbank, Calif. The new nonstop, roundtrip flight will kick off with coach fares as low as $29* one way. This fare requires a 21-day advance purchase and is good for travel through June 9, 2004. Beginning July 23, 2004, the airline will increase service between these two cities by adding a second nonstop, roundtrip flight. With the addition of this new service, America West now offers access to 48 destinations and approximately 110 daily departures from its Las Vegas hub.

"We're pleased to be offering our Burbank customers nonstop service to Las Vegas, one of the most popular destinations in the world," said Dion Flannery, vice president, scheduling, route planning and Internet distribution. "In addition, Las Vegas customers, as well as customers connecting through our Las Vegas hub, will now have another airport to choose from in the Los Angeles area."
