Alliance Gaming to Provide First Ticketing Systems in Puerto Rican Market31 October 2003LAS VEGAS – (Press Release) -- Alliance Gaming Corp. (NYSE: AGI) announced today that its Bally Gaming and Systems business unit has signed agreements with two hotel-casinos in San Juan, Puerto Rico to provide the first slot machine ticketing system in the Puerto Rican gaming jurisdiction. The Bally Systems division has entered into agreements with both the Ambassador Plaza Hotel & Casino and The Ritz-Carlton, San Juan Hotel, Spa & Casino to begin installation of the Bally eTICKET product by the end of the calendar year. Both casinos, which already utilize slot accounting and casino management solutions from Bally Systems, will initially install eTICKET on a limited number of slot machines before proceeding with full-scale deployment across the casino floor. The industry's leading single-wire, ticket-in, ticket-out cashless product, eTICKET provides a high level of customer service by eliminating long wait times for jackpot payouts and hopper fills while giving casinos a new level of operational efficiency. Slot players will also be able to cash out their winnings and redeem tickets for cash at the cashier cage.
