Alleged Casino Robbers Acquitted13 July 2005SOLOMON ISLAND – As reported by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation: "Three men accused of robbing the Honiara Casino in August 2000 have been acquitted after a 10-day trial in the Solomon Islands capital . "The casino lost more than 100,000 Solomon Island dollars ($US13,775)during the armed robbery. "…The Solomons Star newspaper reports the three men are former members of the ethnic militia, the Malaita Eagle Force." |
