Alberta lotto players watched Ontario skies for winning numbers

RED DEER, Alberta -- As reported by the CBC News: "The Red Deer winners of nearly $14 million picked their numbers based on weather patterns in Scarborough, Ont., where the Lotto 6/49 is drawn, lotto officials say.

"...Kathleen Polyak of the Alberta Lottery Fund said (Robert) Medwid used an unusual method to pick his lucky numbers.

"...He watched the weather and he assessed the weather patterns in Scarborough where Lotto 6/49 is drawn. So he looked at things like climate and humidity and he came up with a way of picking numbers using that method and he used those for four years.'..."
