Alberta: Charity casino question shelved for now

EDMONTON, Alberta -- A report on the future of charitable casinos in Alberta has been put aside, The Vancouver Sun reported.

The report cost $21,000 and contained six recommendations, but the Solicitor General has deemed them "not quite the way to go", The Vancouver Sun report said.

The Solicitor General said for now the gambling commission were going to look at ways of distributing proceeds and providing more equitable access, The Vancouver Sun reported.
