Alberta Casino Highlights Native Culture23 August 2006EDMONTON, Alberta – As reported by the Edmonton Journal: "The new River Cree Resort and Casino includes tasteful references to First Nations culture while avoiding any exploitation of sacred symbols. "The $180-million development, at 215th Street and 79th Avenue, includes a round casino whose shape suggests 'the circle of life,' says Robert Morin, president of Enoch Community Developments Corporation. "…The project has three related components: A nine-storey, 256-room hotel; an ice arena with two NHL-size rinks; and the casino with 600 slot machines and 40 table games plus a 12-table poker room.
