Alberta Bingo Halls Need New Game Plan18 July 2005ALBERTA – As reported by the CBC News: "Bingo halls and the charity and sports groups that rely on money from the game say they need to explore new and faster games to bring players back, after experiencing declining revenues over the past two years. "Glenn Cameron, director of the Federation of Alberta Bingo Associations, says casinos and VLTs in bars offer a quicker payout and are luring players -- and their dollars -- away. "…Cameron's group is working with Alberta Gaming to determine what type of new games could be installed, including electronic versions. "Bingo halls are supposed to pay out 60 per cent of profit in prize money, while another 20 per cent goes to charity…" |
