Albania Wants to Bet on Casinos

ALBANIA – As reported by Reuters: "Albania wants casinos to place a $10 million bet on the Balkan country but its Finance Ministry says the wager may be too much to attract any punters.

"The ministry said plans to charge $10 million for a casino license will kill off the gambling business at birth and dampen its tourism potential.

"...Prime Minister Fatos Nano, rumored to be a blackjack fan, says a gambling industry would help develop tourism on Albania's largely pristine Adriatic and Ionian shores…"
