Alaskan gambling ad bill introduced

ALASKA – As reported by the Sit News: "Not-for-profit organizations will be able to promote charitable raffles and lotteries by way of radio or television broadcasting under legislation recently introduced by Representative Kyle Johansen (R-Ketchikan).

"Under current law only newspapers are allowed to advertise legal charitable raffles and lotteries.

"…Ketchikan's own Pennock Island Challenge for Diabetes ran afoul of the state law this past summer in an attempt to spread the word about their charitable event…"
