Alanis Morissette to visit Hard Rock Tulsa

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Alternative rock icon Alanis Morissette is bringing her award-winning catalog of music to The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - Tulsa on 15 March.

Tickets start at $69 and go on sale 28 December.

Morissette is known as one of the most influential singer-songwriters in contemporary music. She landed on the scene with her 1995 groundbreaking, debut album, Jagged Little Pill, that included numerous hits like "You Oughta Know," "Hand In My Pocket," "Ironic," "You Learn" and "Hand Over Feet." The album earned two Grammy Awards for Best Rock Album and Album of the Year. Her first single, "You Oughta Know" also won Best Rock Song the same year.

She followed up her debut success with multiple acclaimed albums like Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie, MTV Unplugged, Under Rug Swept, So-Called Chaos, Jagged Little Pill Acoustic, her greatest hits album, The Collection, Flavors of Entanglement, Havoc and Bright Lights and Jagged Little Pill: Collector's Edition. In 2015, Morissette was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

Morissette has contributed to several theatrical releases like "The Chronicles of Narnia," "Prince of Persia" and "City of Angels." She also has several acting credits to her name on both the big and small screens.

Outside of entertainment, Morissette is an avid supporter of female empowerment, as well as spiritual, psychological and physical wellness. She's donated her time to a number of causes including Equality Now, Music for Relief, UN Global Tolerance and P.S. Arts. She contributed her song "Magical Child" to support the Every Mother Counts album, featuring various artists. Morissette is also passionate about the benefits and challenges of home childbirth across the world.

Morissette launched her monthly podcast, Conversation with Alanis Morissette, in 2016 to feature conversations about art, spirituality, health and well-being with a variety of authors, doctors and educators. She is currently working on new music and penning a new book.
