Alabama Trial: McGregor lobbying firm changed ledger22 June 2011ALABAMA -- The ongoing testimony in the Alabama corruption trial heard testimony of an altered ledger to cover up financial bribes, the Montgomery Advertiser reported. Allegedly Fine Geddie & Associates, a company who were lobbying for Milton McGregor, issued two checks to Rep. Barry Mask for $2,500, but the office manager admitted altering the ledger which the prosecution contend was to divert information about the source of the cheques, the report explained. Fine Geddie & Associates office manager Cheryl Farrow, however, denied impropriety and said she changed the ledger because the information was entered wrongly by mistake, according to the Montgomery Advertiser. The case continues. |
