Alabama gaming bills die

1 May 2013

ALABAMA -- Alabama's gambling bills have died in the current legislative round, according to the Montgomery Advertiser.

The proposals included penalising people who operate slot machines, the report said.

The legislation would have changed the ranking of the crime of promoting gambling or possessing a gambling device to a class C felony from a class A misdemeanor, the Montgomery Advertiser reported.
