Alabama: Acquittal verdicts in electronic bingo corruption retrial7 March 2012MONTGOMERY, Alabama -- The retrial of Milton McGregor and 5 other defendants in the electronic bingo corruption case has resulted in 6 verdicts of acquittal, the Montgomery Advertiser reported. The case, a retrial, centered on allegations of vote buying in relation to electronic bingo legislation. McGregor's Lawyer Joe Espy was scathingly critical of the prosecution declaring "there was no evidence", the Montgomery Advertiser report quoted. |
