Agua Caliente opens "The Lounge"

RANCHO MIRAGE, California -– (PRESS RELEASE) -- On Saturday, November 17th, Agua Caliente Casino will kick-start nightlife in the desert with the grand opening of "The Lounge," a brand-new, live entertainment venue located inside the casino.

The Lounge is the first stage in the dramatic transformation of Agua Caliente Casino into a world-class resort destination. Scott Cooper, general manager of the casino explains the idea behind the new lounge: "We wanted this to be a place for guests to unwind, let loose and have fun without that thumping nightclub mentality."

At a cost of three-million dollars, The Lounge offers an eclectic mix of live music, great tribute bands and side-splitting comedy acts in a classy, state-of-the-art venue. Never a cover charge, this sleek, sexy hot spot is the ideal place to dance, watch the big game, hang out with friends or make new ones.

THE DESIGN

The Lounge was completed in just four months, yet a walk through the venue reveals a tenacious attention to detail. Designers used the element of "fire" as an underlying theme which is evident in the gorgeous array of materials, colors and finishes used in construction. Among the items incorporated into the design of The Lounge: a wall made of red silk encased in glass, stonework table tops imported from Italy, red glass mosaic tile and white marble bar tops. THE DRINK

The signature drink at The Lounge is "The Mix," a savory blend of Absolut Mandarin, Absolut Citron, Sake, Peach Schnapps, Pineapple and Cranberry juices.

THE PARTY—GRAND OPENING NOVEMBER 17TH, 8PM:

The public and media are cordially invited to attend the grand opening of The Lounge on Saturday, November 17th. The fun starts at 8pm with a special unveiling, drink specials and the sizzling sounds of "Haute Chili" until 12:30am.
