Agua Caliente new restaurant opens23 January 2008ANCHO MIRAGE, California -- (PRESS RELEASE) -– This Friday, the award-winning Steakhouse restaurant at Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage will become the first official occupant of the casino's new luxury hotel. The restaurant has been closed since January 6th to accommodate the move. For guests, the new location will provide their first glimpse inside the highly anticipated $300M hotel. Gorgeous stonework flooring and an impressive two-story water fall grace the lobby entrance adjacent to the newly built restaurant. Inside, The Steakhouse has an elegant feel, with rich, dark woods and Bordeaux accents reminiscent of a Parisian bistro. Colorful chandeliers hang from the ceiling, offering a contemporary look while filling the room with warmth and light. In addition to the wonderful new design elements, guests at The Steakhouse can now enjoy a private dining room, a chef's table and a gorgeous new bar. The Executive Chef and his team have also upped the ante at this award-winning steakhouse-- adding several exciting new selections to the menu, including Tournedos Japonaise (sautéed medallions of prime filet mignon with a Japanese flair), Portobello Mushroom Ravioli and Crème Caramel Cheesecake. To celebrate the re-opening, The Steakhouse will hold a special public reception Monday, February 11th. The event is free and includes a sampling of Steakhouse hors d' oeuvres, a Valentine's day cooking demonstration by Executive Chef Tim Wilcox, as well as a book signing. (Cocktails will be available for purchase.) Reception begins at 4pm; for more information, please call Andrea Carpenter, Special Events Manager: 760-202-2670. Media inquiries should be directed to: Therese Everett-Kerley, Public Relations, 760-883-1396. Upon completion this April, the new Agua Caliente Casino • Resort • Spa will feature 340 graciously-appointed guest rooms, a rejuvenating spa, pool and cabana complex, plus a high-tech conference center. A 2,000-seat entertainment venue will open in December. |
