Agua Caliente Casino Expansion Approved

CALIFORNIA – As reported by the Palm Springs Desert Sun: "A plan for a multi-story hotel adjoining the Agua Caliente Casino hotel along Interstate 10 at Bob Hope Drive was approved for construction Tuesday.

"The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians plans to expand its casino floor and build a 400-room hotel on its reservation. It also plans to build a parking structure, meeting space and a 2,000-seat showroom.

"Agua Caliente chairman Richard Milanovich said the tribe believes the final environmental impact report approved Tuesday demonstrates the tribe's commitment to work with city and county officials, and the public, to address their comments about the project.

"Agua Caliente spokeswoman Nancy Conrad said letters announcing the decisions were being prepared Tuesday night to send to neighboring cities…"
