Activists to push for ballot question over new casino law in Massachusetts30 November 2011BOSTON, Massachusetts -- A new group calling itself Repeal the Casino Deal has launched an effort to challenge the new law legalizing casinos, according to The Republican. The group want to see a referendum question next November on the ballot and have sent a petition to the Attorney General, the report said. If the petition is approved, the group will need to find almost 35,000 registered voters signatures to get the question on the ballot, The Republican reported. |
