ACM's 'Vocalist of the Year' to visit Mohegan Sun

2 April 2018

(PRESS RELEASE) -- ACM "Male Vocalist of the Year" Thomas Rhett has announced new dates for his headlining Life Changes Tour 2018. The second leg of the tour is set to kick off 13 September, with Mohegan Sun Arena scheduled for back-to-back nights on Friday, 14 September and Saturday, 15 September. Both shows will begin at 7:30 p.m. The "standout" (Billboard) multi-platinum artist will bring his "commanding stage presence" (Rolling Stone) to fans across the country with CMA "New Artist of the Year" Brett Young and red-hot trio Midland as support.

Tickets are $99, $79 and $59 and go on sale Friday, 6 April at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster customers may log on to Ticketmaster or call Ticketmaster's national toll free Charge By Phone number, 1-800-745-3000. Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office beginning on Saturday, 7 April, subject to availability.

"Headlining for the first time has been pretty unreal," said Thomas Rhett, who launched his first headline arena tour in 2017. "It's wild to me that we will be launching our second year of headline shows and are bringing out some of my favorite artists in music right now. I think the fans have come to expect that we're going to be on our feet and having the time of our lives every single night."

Thomas Rhett's third album, LIFE CHANGES (The Valory Music Co.), is the biggest, boldest-sounding record of his career, filled with a diverse batch of songs united by the "consistency of their craft" (Variety) as he stretches his sound to new limits. Highlighting his "detailed style of songwriting" (Rolling Stone), LIFE CHANGES was an instant hit, debuting at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, marking the first Country release to take the top spot in 2017. The release also drew a 2018 Grammy nomination for "Best Country Album" and has been streamed more than 400 million times. Thomas Rhett was recently named iHeartRadio's "Country Artist of the Year" for the second year in a row, following a CMA Triple Play award for penning three No. 1 songs within a 12-month period ("Die A Happy Man," "Star of the Show" and Michael Ray's "Think A Little Less"), adding to his collection of trophies from the Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music, Billboard Music Awards, CMT Music Awards and more.
