Accused Criminals Banned from Australian Casino

AUSTRALIA – As reported by the Mercury: "Accused drug kingpin Carl Williams and accused murderer Mick Gatto have been banned from Melbourne's Crown casino.

"Police Chief Commissioner Christine Nixon has used powers under the Casino Control Act to outlaw both men from the gambling complex.

"Ms Nixon signed the unprecedented order before she went on holidays on Wednesday - the day veteran criminal and Gatto friend Lewis Moran became the 23rd victim of Melbourne's worsening gangland wars since 1998.

"…Mr Gatto, who is accused of murdering Williams' constant companion Andrew Veniamin, is a member of the casino's exclusive Mahogany Room. Mr Gatto is in jail but his lawyer will seek bail soon.

"…Casino spokesman Gary O'Neill last night confirmed Crown had received exclusion orders but gave no names…"
