ABBA tribute band to perform at Aliante Casino, Suncoast Casino5 May 2017(PRESS RELEASE) -- Celebrated ABBA tribute act "Arrival from Sweden: The Music of ABBA" will bring its signature spot-on performances to Access Showroom at Aliante Casino Hotel and Spa on Saturday, 17 June and Suncoast Showroom at Suncoast Hotel and Casino on Sunday, 18 June. Early in their career, the Swedish pop group ABBA gained instant popularity after the release of their first major hit, "Waterloo," in 1974. They went on to release the songs "Mamma Mia," "Fernando" and "Dancing Queen," which brought them international fame as they topped the music charts in Australia, the U.K. and the U.S. ABBA continued to release more top singles, like "Take a Chance on Me" and "S.O.S.," which helped them become one of the top-selling pop groups in music history with nearly 400 million records sold. In 2015, ABBA's #1 single "Dancing Queen" was inducted to The Recording Academy's Grammy Hall of Fame. In 1995, the 12-piece tribute band "Arrival from Sweden: The Music of ABBA" formed in Gothenburg, Sweden to recreate ABBA's most iconic hits for audiences around the globe. The tribute group has sold out 38 North American tours and appeared on numerous radio and television shows around the world. Since 2007, Arrival from Sweden has also performed with more than 60 symphony orchestras worldwide. As one of the only tribute bands to perform with some of ABBA's original musicians and receive an unreleased song directly from ABBA, Arrival from Sweden has become one of the most celebrated ABBA tribute acts. Audiences will be taken back to the 1970s as Arrival from Sweden brings ABBA's biggest pop hits and signature style to the stage. Showtime on Saturday, 17 June is 8 p.m. at Access Showroom.
