6 June 2008

RENO, Nevada -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- One of the most celebrated Cabaret duos is performing live at the Peppermill Saturday, June 21 at 8 p.m. in the Peppermill Capri Ballroom.

Meg Mackay and Billy Philadelphia have been called the royal couple of the San Francisco musical stage. Their show, "A Little Romance," offers an intimate, witty, and memorable showcase that has delighted audiences nationwide.

Tickets are $35 and can be purchased at PeppermillReno.com or by calling 775-851-1638.

Philadelphia is a pianist, musical director, and energetic entertainer. His stage and television productions include The Royal Tour, SFO, and Good Time Cafe. His production of Hoagy, a personal tribute to Hoagy Carmichael, has had successful runs in San Francisco, Milwaukee, and Miami.

"A Little Romance" is the perfect way for this spectacular duo to share their love of music and each other with audiences. SF Examiner- "Mackay's dusky, richly emotive voice is never better than when wrapped around a tear-jerking ballad." Oakland Tribune-- "Playful, funny and romantic without being snappy, Mackay and Philadelphia make for a delightful cabaret couple."
