26 July 2016

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Never Forget Mobile 9/11 Museum, an interactive educational exhibit that features artifacts, videos, recordings and live tours by FDNY firefighters, will receive a first responder escort on Aug. 30 as it travels to Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa for a six-day visit starting Aug. 31. LaPorte County Emergency Services, Police, Fire and EMS, along with The Guardian Riders and The Wall Gang, will provide the mobile museum escort to Blue Chip Casino.

On Aug. 30 the Never Forget Mobile 9/11 Museum Semi will leave from Harley Davidson on Franklin St. at about 11 a.m. and travel to Pine Street to Route 12 and end at Blue Chip.

The 9/11 Mobile Museum will be free and open to the public starting at noon on Wednesday, Aug. 31.

The Never Forget Mobile 9/11 Museum is a high-tech, 53-foot tractor, which unfolds into a 1000-square-foot exhibit. The memorial provides interactive education, including artifacts such as steel beams from the towers, documentary videos, recording of first responder radio transmissions and live tours by FDNY firefighters. The exhibit was created in 2013 by the Stephen Stiller Tunnel to Towers Foundation as a tribute to all those whose lives were sacrificed on Sept. 11, 2001.
