'80s classic rock group LOVERBOY to perform at Kansas Star Arena

8 May 2018

(PRESS RELEASE) -- LOVERBOY has been “Working for the Weekend” for more than 30 years and they bring their classic rock sound to Kansas Star Arena on Saturday, 29 September.

For more than 30 years, LOVERBOY has been delighting audiences around the world with their big rock sound and high-energy shows.

LOVERBOY has sold more than 10 million albums, earning four multi-platinum plaques, including the four-million-selling Get Lucky, and a trio of double-platinum releases in their self-titled debut album, Keep It Up and Lovin’ Every Minute of It. Their string of hit singles including “Working for the Weekend,” “Hot Girls in Love,” “Queen of the Broken Hearts,” “Turn Me Loose,” and “When It’s Over” went on to become the anthems and party songs of a generation of rock concert-going fans.

Their success made them the first Canadian group ever to earn Columbia Records’ exclusive Crystal Glove Award and win a record six Juno awards. In March 2009, the group was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame at the Juno Awards show.

The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale Saturday, 12 May. Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased at the Kansas Star Casino website. Guests must be 21 or older to attend.
