5 July 2004

LAS VEGAS – (PRESS RELEASE) -- A Fourth of July getaway has delivered financial independence for a Norwalk, Calif. woman who won a $4.9 million slot machine jackpot in Las Vegas. The winner, who has asked to remain anonymous, won the Jeopardy! quarters MegaJackpot(TM) at the Gold Coast casino Saturday evening.

The winner said that she always plays the Jeopardy!® themed slot when she comes to Las Vegas and that she'll use her windfall to pay for her daughter's upcoming wedding. The 62-year old winner indicated that the jackpot may also speed up her plans to retire.

The Gold Coast Hotel and Casino is located a short distance from the Las Vegas Strip.
