4th annual 'Online Bingo Site of the Year' awards launched30 November 2009LONDON, England -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The fourth annual 'Online Bingo Oscars' are taking place at WhichBingo UK, as the search commences for the UK's Online Bingo 'Site of the Year' and 'New Site of the Year' for 2009. The UK Online Bingo market has continued its amazing growth curve during 2009 and over the course of December online bingo players will take their pick from almost 300 bingo sites as they cast their votes for the 'Site of the Year' and chose from 50 sites for 'New Site of the Year'. The prestigious Which Bingo UK awards were launched in 2006 to celebrate and reward excellence in online bingo, by allowing players to vote for their favourite sites. The awards are designed to reflect the quality, excitement and entertainment value of online bingo sites. The Site of the Year award is open to EVERY SINGLE 'pay-to-play' online bingo site in the UK, regardless of software provider. The 'New Site of the Year' award is open to the record number of UK online bingo sites that launched during 2009. The polls open on December 1st and run until December 31st 2009. The sites with the most votes in each category at the end of the month will be awarded the respective titles. Last year the excellent Jackpot Joy took the 'Site of the Year' award, while Bingo Playground was named 'New Site of the Year'. Think Bingo claimed the top honour in 2007, whilst 2006 saw Mecca Bingo take the inaugural title. Online Bingo sites all over the UK have already begun campaigning to their players for votes in this year's awards. After claiming last year's award, a spokesperson at Jackpot Joy said: "We were overjoyed to be recognised as Which Bingo's 'Site of the Year'. This is the award that all the bingo sites strive for. More than anything though, this is a credit to the members. I can't think of another business that is as customer-focused as online bingo, which means this award is well and truly theirs!" WhichBingo UK founder Phil Fraser, said: "This has been another huge year for online bingo and many sites deserve great credit for their hard work in entertaining thousands of players. "This year has seen everyone in the industry push the envelope with innovative new ideas, fantastic promotions and excellent player service. Our awards give players a chance to voice their appreciation for the sites they feel deserve recognition for their achievements." The announcement of the 2009 award winning sites will be made in early January 2010
