38 Special to highlight an action-packed summer at Tioga Downs Casino

17 June 2017

(PRESS RELEASE) -- As an action-packed summer gets underway, Tioga Downs Casino prepares its stage on Saturday July 1 at 8 p.m. for a special benefit concert by 38 Special to raise money for the Southern Tier Veterans Support Group.

After more than three decades together, 38 Special continues to bring their signature blast of Southern Rock to over 100 cities a year. And at each and every show, thousands of audience members are amazed by the explosive power of the band's performance. Their many Gold and Platinum album awards stand in testament to the endurance of a legendary powerhouse. With sales in excess of 20 million, most associate the band with their arena-rock pop smashes, “Hold On Loosely,” “Rockin’ Into the Night,” “Caught Up in You,” “Fantasy Girl,” “If I’d Been the One,” “Back Where You Belong,” “Chain Lightnin’,” “Second Chance,” and more – Timeless hits that remain a staple at radio, immediately recognizable from the first opening chord, and paving the way to their present-day touring regimen.

Tickets for the concert are now available at all Ticketmaster locations and the Tioga Downs gift shop. One hundred percent of ticket sales will benefit the Southern Tier Veterans Support Group and American Racing and Entertainment Chairman Jeff Gural will also personally match all ticket proceeds as an additional donation to the group.

“We are honored to help raise money for a special charity like the Southern Tier Veterans Support Group,” Jeff Gural said. “Their mission is to help provide a network of resources for our local veterans, service members and their families. We have always had a big heart for our veterans and are eternally grateful for their dedicated service to our country.”
