32Red sponsors British racing6 September 2016(PRESS RELEASE) -- 32Red is the new sponsor of Kempton Park's prestigious King George VI Winter Festival and Lanzarote Hurdle Day fixtures, and has extended its support for Tolworth Hurdle Day at sister-course Sandown Park, in a three-year partnership announced today by Jockey Club Racecourses. A founding Authorized Betting Partner of British Racing, 32Red Sport is already the sponsor of 45 fixtures at Kempton Park Racecourse this year alone and began its association with Sandown Park Racecourse's 32Red Tolworth Hurdle back in 2011. The two-day 32Red King George VI Winter Festival will be staged at Kempton Park on 26 and 27 December 2016 and includes the Grade 1 Boxing Day showpiece, the 3 mile £200,000 32Red King George VI Chase, the Grade 1 32Red Kauto Star Novices' Chase (in memory of Nigel Clark) and the Grade 2 32Red Desert Orchid Chase over 2 miles, worth £80,000. 32Red's sponsorship of top quality Jump racing in the Jockey Club's London Region then continues into January, with the Grade 1 32Red Tolworth Hurdle run over 2 miles at Sandown Park on 7 January 2017 and the Listed 32Red Lanzarote Hurdle at Kempton Park on 14 January 2017. The 32Red King George VI Chase is one of the most prestigious Steeplechases in the British racing calendar and will forever be linked to great chasers including Kauto Star and Desert Orchid. This year's renewal will mark 10 years since Kauto Star's first victory in the race he went on to win a record five times (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011). Phil White, Regional Director for the Jockey Club's London Region, said: "We warmly welcome 32Red as our new partner for these important fixtures at Kempton Park. 32Red is a major supporter of Jockey Club Racecourses and we are delighted to expand our relationship to a new level on account of their status as a founding Authorized Betting Partner of British Racing. "The 32Red King George VI Chase has been won by some of the best Steeplechasers we will ever see, with Desert Orchid winning the race on four occasions and Kauto Star going one better to post a record that may never be matched. Last year's finish between Cue Card and Vautour was one of the most exciting I've witnessed and the scenes when Sprinter Sacre came back into the winners' enclosure the next day after winning the Desert Orchid Chase was an emotional moment for even our hardiest racegoers. "I look forward to seeing what unfolds at this special race meeting this year now with 32Red's most valued backing, as well as on 32Red Lanzarote Hurdle Day, 32Red Tolworth Hurdle Day and across the rest of their sponsorship portfolio with Jockey Club Racecourses." Ed Ware, CEO of 32Red, said: "We are delighted to be sponsoring the King George VI Chase at Kempton Park for the next three years. Only a cursory glance at the roll call of previous winners of the King George VI Chase makes you appreciate the truly historic status of the race, and to have 32Red's name attached to it is very exciting. "We are long established in horse racing sponsorship and are already the largest supporter of British Racing in numerical terms, but this seven-figure sponsorship package adds more quality and profile to our portfolio. "Our three-year sponsorship of today's 32Red Sprint Cup, along with our recently renewed commitment to the £1m All Weather Championship Series, plus extending our support to the 32Red Tolworth Hurdle at Sandown Park, and adding the 32Red Lanzarote in too, means we are now not only leaders in terms of quantity but also quality." Phil White added: "I should also like to take this opportunity to offer our sincere thanks to William Hill for the long-term support they have given us at Kempton Park and we hope to work with their team again in the future. Upon the completion of our previous deal it was not possible for us to offer a renewal for sponsorship rights as part of The Jockey Club's commitment to support British Racing's Authorized Betting Partners initiative." Tickets for the 32Red Winter Festival go on sale on Monday afternoon (5 September). There will be a 32% discount on all tickets for the 32Red Winter Festival for the first week of sale (until 12 September).
