24hPoker Holding merges with Epicure Venture

24hPoker Holding and Epicure Venture, two of the largest online poker brands in the Scandinavian market, have signed a letter of intent to merge into one company.

The new company will be responsible for the operation and marketing of 24hpoker.com, Martinspoker.com and staffpoker.com. The trio of sites will remain on the 24hNetwork, according to the Martinspoker.com Web site.

"We have seen major changes in the attitude of 24hNetwork in the past 3-5 months. Several other major networks have courted us in regard to a potential move from 24hNetwork. It was important for us that we would have optimal conditions to grow. We feel that the vision of 24hNetwork to focus on the online gaming solution supplier market along with plans of international expansion is something that we are certain will benefit our company's future." said Claus K. Nielsen, CEO of Martinspoker.com.

24hNetwork is home to more than 120 online poker brands and is currently ranked 17th in terms of player liquidity according to pokersitescout.com. The network averages 500 cash games players per day and has a daily peak near 1,000 players.
