2022 World Series of Poker Week 4 in review

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Following a handful of star-studded celebrity appearances last week, the 53rd annual World Series of Poker once again raised the stakes in week four of play with a new millionaire crowned and poker legend Phil Ivey’s bracelet run. With less than two weeks until the Main Event, the excitement of this year’s WSOP is reaching a fever pitch with much more action in the weeks to come.
Week 4 Highlights
- World-Renowned Brazilian soccer player, Neymar Jr., wins his first-ever WSOP cash
- Last week, Neymar de Silva Santos Júnior competed in his first WSOP bracelet events. Neymar Jr. would go on to finish the week with his first-ever WSOP cash placing No. 49 and taking home nearly $4,000 in Event #41: $1,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit.
- Legendary musician, Steve Albini, claims his second WSOP Bracelet
- Steve Alibini claimed victory in the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E event, beating out a field of 773 and taking home $196,089 in cash. Best known for producing some of Nirvana’s most iconic albums, Albini took home his first bracelet in 2018.
- Daniel Zack becomes first player to win two bracelets at Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas
- Poker professional, Daniel Zack, became the first player to take home two 2022 WSOP bracelets in Las Vegas. Zack won his second-ever WSOP bracelet during a seven-hour heads up earlier this month before earning his third bracelet during Event #40: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship this week.
- Yuliyan Kolev wins his second gold bracelet in Event #37: $1,5000 Millionaire Maker No-Limit Hold’em
- Seven months ago, Bulgarian Yuliyan Kolev took home his first online bracelet. Now he’s accomplished this feat in-person beating a field full of bracelet winners on Wednesday night, taking home his first live bracelet and claiming a whopping $1,125,141 in winnings.

- Sunday, 26 June – Event #54: $500 SALUTE to Warriors – No-Limit Hold’em
- One of the WSOP’s charity-focused events, proceeds will be donated to the USO and other veteran organizations
- Sunday, 26 June – Event #55: $1,000 TAG TEAM No-Limit Hold’em
- Teams of two players must register and compete together for a chance at a prestigious gold bracelet in a team format
- Monday, 27 June – Event #57: $600 Deepstack Championship No-Limit Hold’em
- Bigger blinds and bigger stacks are the name of the game as competitors face off in a high stakes game for a chance at a gold bracelet
- Wednesday, 29 June – Event #61: $1,000 LADIES No-Limit Hold’em Championship
- Female competitors will compete in a women-only $1,000 buy-in tournament for a chance at a gold bracelet
