15th annual Thanksgiving dinner is cooperative effort of Silver Legacy, community11 November 2013RENO, Nevada -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Silver Legacy Resort Casino is reaching out to those in need by preparing and serving a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings. We’re honored to be joined by members of the VOICE (Vocational Opportunities for Inclusive Career Education) who provide vocational transition training for individuals with disabilities ages 18-22 and students of the WCSDPC (Washoe County School District Police Department) Intro to Law Enforcement class. These partners, along with Silver Legacy team members, will come together for this wonderful and necessary outreach event held at the corner of 6th and Center Street in Downtown Reno beginning at 11:00 a.m. on November 26. Instrumental in the development of the event was Jeffrey Olsen, Silver Legacy’s former banquet manager. The annual event is now a memorial to Jeffrey and his giving spirit, and Silver Legacy is honored to play a part in continuing to assist those in our community who are less fortunate. As well, we would like to acknowledge and thank all our partners for their generous donations making this year’s Thanksgiving meal a collaboration of caring and goodwill. |
