100,000 fans attend Mexican Independence Day Weekend in Las Vegas

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Mexican Independence Day Weekend celebrations lit up the Las Vegas Strip earlier this month, with Live Nation Las Vegas hosting a stellar lineup of concerts from Latin music's biggest stars, attracting 100,000 fans to iconic venues across the city.

A staple in Las Vegas for Mexican Independence (Fiestas Patrias) for a record 22 years, legendary Mexican music icon Alejandro Fernández graced the stage at the MGM Grand Garden Arena with two sold-out shows. Fernández performed with his daughter, Camila Fernández, on Saturday, 14 September, and with his son, Alex Fernández, on Sunday, 15 September, making it a memorable affair for both his family and fans.

Los Bukis returned to Dolby Live at Park MGM over Mexican Independence Day Weekend with sold-out performances of Los Bukis: The Las Vegas Residency, the first all-Spanish-language residency on the world-renowned Las Vegas Strip.

Peso Pluma and Fuerza Regida

Grupo Firme brought their electrifying La Ultima Peda Tour to T-Mobile Arena on Saturday, 7 September. International record-shattering music sensation Peso Pluma brought his record-breaking 2024 tour to the venue on Friday, 13 September, featuring a guest collaboration with 50 Cent. Spotted in the sold-out crowd were Big Boy, UFC flyweight champ Brandon Moreno and UFC fighter Tracy Cortez. Hitmaking Mexican music act Fuerza Regida also sold-out T-Mobile Arena with their Pero No Te Enamores Tour on Sunday, 15 September, setting a record for the most walk-up tickets ever purchased at the venue. This weekend marked the first time both Peso Pluma and Fuerza Regida performed in Las Vegas for Fiestas Patrias.

Franco Escamilla and BANDA MS

Adding to the variety, comedian Franco Escamilla performed his new show 1995 at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino Las Vegas Garden Arena on Friday, 13 September. Iconic band BANDA MS rocked Michelob ULTRA Arena the same night, while the legendary Gloria Trevi brought her Mi Soundtrack World Tour 2024 to PH Live at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas.

Latin pop icon Emmanuel returned to The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas for two nights on Saturday, 14 September and Sunday, 15 September. Ana Bárbara captivated audiences at the Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort on Saturday, 14 September, celebrating her 30-year career with the Ana Bárbara, Reina Grupera Tour 2024.

Other notable performances included Matute with a sold-out show at The Venetian Las Vegas Theatre on Friday, 13 September, Mexican electronic pioneers Moenia at House of Blues on Sunday, 8 September, acclaimed pop group Matisse with their Bella Nostalgia world tour at House of Blues on Saturday, 14 September, and Cuco with a sold-out show at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas on Saturday, 14 September as part of his 4U Tour.
