$900,000 fine for Sarah Eternal SRL

6 March 2025

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Dutch Gaming Authority has imposed a fine of $900,000 on Sarah Eternal S.R.L. for illegally offering online games of chance to players in the Netherlands on the Casino Sky website. That's forbidden.

On the Casinosky website, no measures had been taken to exclude players from the Netherlands. During the investigation, the Ksa found several abuses that led to a higher fine than the basic fine of €600,000. In March 2024, Sarah Eternal S.R.L. was sentenced to a penalty of €280,000.

Michel Groothuizen: ‘The Netherlands has a legal market to ensure that people who want to gamble can do so safely. With these types of illegal providers, we often see that in no way is the prevention of risky playing behaviour. For example, there was no age verification, which also allows minors to play, and the opportunity to gamble with cryptocurrency. We act hard as Ksa against these types of parties.”
