Virtual Gaming Enterprises, Inc. announced September 3 the purchase of Cyber Casino Player, an Internet gaming website. The operation will be a joint venture with EBB/USA, the domestic affiliate of European Barter Business (EBB). E-Vegas.com Inc. has entered into the horse race wagering business in Costa Rica through an agreement that will allow the company to offer pari-mutuel betting over the Internet. The agreement to operate the only horse track gaming venture in Costa Rica will be under the license of the Gran Hotel's sports book and gaming operation. The Gran Hotel is one of the major tourist and foreign business hotels in downtown San Jose. It's primary clientele is American, Canadian and Costa Rican business people. E-Vegas President Ed Gallagher said the venture will "position us to promote our other gaming ventures, especially the sports book business, to the people that traditionally make significant wagers on track betting." The exclusive arrangement will require E-Vegas.com Inc. to make an initial capital investment in systems upgrades including two satellite dishes that will offer Gran Hotel clientele with exclusive access to horse track wagering. The company will also provide the owners of the Gran Hotel with a monthly alliance fee of 10 percent of gaming proceeds. New Stuff -- The redundantly reduntantly named GIC Global Intertainment Corporation has just given birth to a bouncing baby subsidiary. The online casino and sportsbook operator, which announced in August its expansion into the gaming software development biz, announced September 6 the launch of GIC Global Intertainment Marketing Corporation. The new company has been set up to form marketing alliances with major international companies. According to President and CEO James Chu, potential partners include credit card companies; airlines; cruise ship lines; record companies; alcohol and tobacco firms; lottery and casino operators; cyber cafes; poker and bingo clubs; greeting card stores; golf and country clubs; hotels and resorts; and national chain operators like Gas Stations, Department Stores Atlantic International Entertainment, Ltd. (AIE) has added real-money online bingo to its list of accomplishments. Intercapital Global Fund, Ltd., a subsidiary of Total Entertainment, has launched Bingoonthenet.com, an interactive, multi-player bingo system developed and licensed by AIE. The software package, available in three languages, provides players with a realistic bingo experience that mixes manual and automatic play with the sights and sounds of a traditional bingo game. Results are streamed live over the network. Quote Worthy -- "The United States is taking people operating from the Third World to court. Why? Because it can. Nobody cares. We don't matter to them. And I find that insulting. We're not standing up for the operators. We're standing up for our sovereignty." -Antigua Director of Offshore Gaming Gyneth McAllister on the United States Government's tendency to take legal action only against Caribbean online gambling
