And so another year of Interactive gaming news is in the books. For those who are relatively new to IGN, or simply forgetful, every year on or around New Years we reflect on the past 365 days of news affecting the I-gaming industry and take a look at what's in store for the next 365. Without a doubt, 2002 was the toughest year yet for the interactive gambling; the industry continues to search for solutions to the most of the challenges it faced at the end of 2001, but resilience and a consumer demand for online gambling that won't be denied have kept the ship afloat. Through it all, I-gaming remains one of the few Internet industries with a lot of promise. Among other things, 2002 was the year MGM Mirage officially entered the business, interactive TV betting took the United Kingdom by storm, P2P betting made its presence known and Hong Kong banned offshore betting. And now for a glimpse at what was and what will be. . .
