The Crapshooter(tm) © 1999 by Larry Edell Many new Crapshooters don't understand come bets, but come bets really are very simple - and profitable! A come bet is like a pass line bet, but it is made after the pass line point is established. You place your bet in the come box and the next point that the shooter rolls becomes your personal point. ... (read more)
Two Different Pass Lines4 November 1999
The Crapshooter © 1999 by Larry Edell When you play craps, you can place a pass line bet at two different times – before the point and after the point. Let's look at the advantages of each of these bets. How Much Do You Lose When You Win?21 September 1999
A friend of mine, Bernie, is married to Barbara, my old school classmate from Brooklyn. Bernie likes to play craps, but only on the pass line, and only with green chips. One green chip. I was in Napa, California at the time so I decided to fly over to Reno and see what she was talking about. Dara was introduced to craps only recently, but once she learned how to play, she played every chance she got. ... (read more)

For example, if you have a don't-pass bet of $20 and the point is six or eight, you can place bet the same number for $18. Then if the seven rolls you win $20 and lose $18, giving you a $2 profit. ... (read more)
Come On Down!12 June 1999
My old friend Steve always makes come bets, but he never quite knows what to do with the odds. He's a school buddy from my Brooklyn high school, where I was the resident mathematician. I was always telling him that he would do a lot better if he figured out the mathematical implications of his bets, rather than just go on hunches. ... (read more)
