WMS Gaming Unveils New Generation of Slots17 January 2007
Midwest-based WMS Gaming, with corporate headquarters in Waukegan, Illinois is rolling out some mighty impressive new games that I guarantee will delight slot players everywhere once they start popping up in casinos in Northwest Indiana and the Chicago area. The company's Sensory Immersion Gaming and Transmissive Reels Gaming systems take slot play to new plateaus of innovation and imagination. Sensory Immersion Gaming does what its name implies. Rather than sitting down at a game, the breakthrough technology built into this product allows players to step into the game and quite literally become lost in an experience that whisks you off the casino floor and into a new dimension of slot play. The concept debuts with a Top Gun-themed game that incorporates the sights, sounds and images from the Paramount Pictures feature film through the deployment of CPU-NXT2 technology, the company's next generation gaming platform. Top Gun combines the BOSE 3Space audio system with real-time 3D graphics developed in partnership with ATI Technologies, Inc. to create a video slot game unlike any you've ever experienced. The sensation begins the moment you slip into the comfy cockpit style seat. You place your feet not on the floor but rather on a foot rest that's built into the chair. Once you start playing the game, you discover that this allows you to become completely immersed in the game for a complete head-to-toe multi-sensory feeling. The graphics and sound of the base game are spectacular, but it's when you enter the second screen bonus component that the action really accelerates. One of the virtual games takes you on a combat mission in which you use touch screen technology to decide which maneuvers to make (roll left, roll right etc.) which result in accumulating multipliers and bonus points. The 3D graphics combined with the pulsating BOSE audio system make Top Gun as close to an arcade-style gaming experience as you'll find in a casino. It's set for commercial distribution in the spring. WMS Gaming has already announced that a new video slot game based on the classic 1939 film "The Wizard of Oz" through an agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products will be the company's next sensory immersion gaming product. Now on to Monopoly Super Money Grab which features what the company has trademarked as Transmissive Reels Gaming, an eye-popping, mind-boggling unique blend of traditional mechanical reel and video reel gaming. The base game uses spinning reels, not video reels. Graphically rich video content is projected over them on a touch screen. The Monopoly characters in the bonus component literally jump out at you while you make decisions and see how many credits you accumulate as they leap up in the "money grab" feature. The audio application of music and sound effects is spectacular. You've never seen anything like it and I guarantee you'll be thoroughly entertained.
