What's My Line?

How many remember the classic old game show “What’s My Line?” that had a 17-year run on CBS-TV from 1950 through 1967? John Daly moderated a panel that included Dorothy Kilgallen, Arlene Francis, and Bennett Cerf. The panel’s job was to guess the profession of a guest by asking a series of questions that required a “yes” or “no” answer.

Today I’d like to play a modified version of the game by giving you the professional and academic qualifications of a series of individuals and then asking: “In pursuit of what avocation do you think they have formed an alliance?”

“Dominator”: Graduated from college with degrees in biology and mathematics.

“Doc Holliday”: A practicing doctor of dentistry.

Dr. Richard McCall: A practicing psychologist and former director of The Human Performance Institute. Raised in Japan, he is now headmaster of the Bushinkai Zendo and holds a fifth degree belt in Samurai “Aiki-Bujutsu”. He is also an accomplished futures trader and the author of two best-selling books on the topic.

“Sharpshooter”: An engineer by trade.

Frank Scoblete: An expert in his field, he can be heard on radio every week and has served as a consultant for CNN, ABC, The Discovery Channel, TBS, The Travel Channel, and Walter Cronkite.

“Tenor”: A retired high school music teacher who has a magnificent singing voice.

These gentleman of distinguished and diverse professional backgrounds have come together with gambling professionals Bill Burton, “Billy the Kid”, “Mr. Finesse”, and “Sharpshooter” as members of the faculty of “Golden Touch Craps”, which is rapidly earning a reputation as the “gold standard” in dice control seminars.

Dice control is the method by which believers and practitioners physically control the setting, holding, and throwing of dice at casino craps tables nationwide with the intention of altering mathematical probability in favor of players.

They are traveling around the country conducting seminars and hands-on small group workshops to teach the skills they have learned. Just recently they lectured before packed houses at the Sunset Station in Las Vegas, Nevada and gave a series of seminars planned for hotel casinos in Mississippi.

Is there such a science as “dice control” in a game that has long been considered “pure chance?” The Golden Touch Craps “professors” say “Yes!”
