Incredible Technologies Set to "Tee Up" in Casinos6 January 2010
Incredible Technologies, the Arlington Heights, Illinois based company that is the largest manufacturer of coin-operated video games in the United States, recently passed a major hurdle in its quest to enter the casino gaming sector. It was announced last month that Gaming Laboratories International gave regulatory approval to IT's innovative Magic Touch gaming platform line of video slot, poker and keno games. The approval came in time for the company to put its products on display at the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas, and sets the stage for the games to start appearing on casino floors around the country in the near future. The rollout of Magic Touch themed games includes Money, Cars, Fruit, and Fish Store. Also approved was the company's patent-pending Versatile Volatility feature, which asks players: "How do you like to win – Often Steady or Big?" "Players have never had the chance to experience Versatile Volatility before, and we're very anxious to introduce them to this exciting new feature," said Elaine Hodgson, president and CEO of IT. Hodgson, in partnership with Richard Ditton, founded Incredible Technologies in 1985 as a designer of operating systems and programming for pinball games. The company's breakout arcade product came in 1989 when it unveiled Golden Tee Golf, which is IT's flagship product and the most successful pay-to-play video game in history. The decision to enter the casino gaming sector was a logical next move. The slot innovations associated with the company's Magic Touch system include horizontal spinning Sidewinder Reels, Angle Pay Lines, and BonuSave, in which players can bank unused bonus credits. Keno enthusiasts will be especially engaged with the four games IT has developed, especially a game called Pop Up 25, which utilizes a 5 X 5 grid of numbers 1 through 25 instead of the conventional 10 X 8 grid of numbers 1 through 80. All of the keno games are three-dimensional and give players a choice of watching the keno balls pop up or drop down. The rich and colorful graphics are enhanced by digitally enhanced audio cues and other sound effects. The video poker component is supported by a menu of 10 different games, including such innovative options as Full House Bonus Poker and Freedom Poker. They come with Pro-Tip technology, which engages players by teaching them game strategies. Video slots developed by IT reflect a refreshing new approach in regard to entertainment value, and certainly an appeal to the younger generation, which grew up on in-home and arcade style playing experiences. Currency of varying denominations creates the pay grid of Money, a 15-line game that boasts eye-catching 3D interface and animation as well as the Angle Pay component. Cars is a 25-line game with Sidewinder horizontal spinning reels, enhanced with a bonus round in which you play a video game to weave your way around a money toll way to accumulate credits. Fruit is played on a 3 X 3 tic-tac-toe style grid and includes two distinctive bonus round features, while Fish Store is themed with tropical fish, which are remarkably lifelike in detail and movement as they swim in aquariums across a 3 X 5 play grid. The innovations introduced by Incredible Technologies in its gaming products will have the competition paying close attention to how the games are accepted by slot players.
