Proper Use of the Hardway Set13 November 2011
Hi Ralph, GTC always recommends setting the hardway set (or any set you use) exactly the same way each time. If you decide to have 5s on top and 3s facing you, then do this EACH AND EVERY time you set the dice. We say this for two reasons: 1) by doing exactly the same thing, you tend to get the same results, but more importantly, 2) by always setting the dice the same way, you don't have to think when you throw. This is what you need to start getting long rolls. Once you start thinking about what you are doing, you have most likely lost your edge. When you use the hardway set it is better for you to come bet as no particular number is favored by the hardway set. It is a 7s avoidance set. Once you know your dice are on axis consistently, you can start using the 3V set, which doesn't have as much protection against the 7, but it favors hitting the 6 and 8. You can place the 6 and/or 8 and make money even though your rolls will probably be shorter. I hope this helps, Ralph. You seem very serious and level-headed about your foray into dice control and I really respect that. I would love to meet you at a class in the near future. I know you will find it is well worth the time and expense. You just can't get the same results any other way. All the best, This article is provided by the Frank Scoblete Network. Melissa A.
