Pinnacle increases quarterly revenues, trims net loss

LAS VEGAS -- Pinnacle Entertainment more than doubled the company’s net revenues in the second quarter because of its $2.8 billion acquisition of a rival regional casino operator. Orange Capital again wants Pinnacle Entertainment to split off REIT

LAS VEGAS -- A hedge fund that owns 4.5 percent of Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc. reiterated its call that the regional casino operator split the company to include a real estate investment trust. Orange Capital, LLC, a New York-based investment firm, believes Pinnacle’s share price could increase between 60 percent and 90 percent in value if the Las Vegas-based company were to create a REIT. ...
