Wynn plans new projects7 August 2007
LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- When Wynn Resorts gets set to redevelop the Wynn Golf Club, the first project to take shape is slated for the corner of Desert Inn Road and Paradise Road. Company Chairman Steve Wynn said Monday he isn't ready the tear up the 137-acre golf course that commands greens fees of $500 a round. But when he does, the first hotel-casino would be built across from the Las Vegas Convention Center. "We're working on that concept right now, but we're going to keep studying the golf course and figuring out how to take advantage of that land," Wynn said during his company's quarterly earnings conference call. Wynn said the land's value will continue to increase as new projects are announced and built along the Strip's north end. He said the company is focused on completing the $2.2 billion Encore. "We've got a $2 billion all-suite hotel under construction. I think we have enough to do right now," Wynn said. Copyright GamingWire. All rights reserved. Related Links
