Ferrari dealership at Wynn Las Vegas to close22 September 2015
The closing ends the unusual marriage between a Strip hotel-casino and the high-end auto dealership, which is the only licensed Ferrari dealer in Nevada. Wynn Las Vegas spokesman Michael Weaver confirmed Monday the dealership's closing but said it was too early to announce what the property will do with the 10,000-square-foot space near the hotel's main entrance. "It creates an opportunity to do something special," Weaver said. Penske Wynn Ferrari opened with the Strip resort in April 2005, offering new and used luxury Ferrari and Maserati vehicles at six-figure prices. The dealership also maintained a service department with several maintenance bays and a parts department. Guests to the dealership pay a $10 entry fee just to tour the showroom, which houses more than 50 high-end cars. The dealership is listed as part of the Wynn Esplanade, the hotel-casino's high-end retail area that includes Cartier, Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton and other luxury shops. A representative of the dealership referred calls to Wynn Las Vegas. The dealership was a joint venture between Wynn Resorts Ltd. and the Penske Automotive Group, which is headed by racing legend Roger Penske.
