Eastgate bracelet sells for $147,50029 November 2010
The auction attracted 116 bids. The buyer was not disclosed. Eastgate said all proceeds from sale of the bracelet would be donated to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, a children's charity. Eastgate, 24 of Denmark, earned $9.15 million and the bracelet for topping a field 6,843 players in 2008 at the Rio in winning the $10,000 buy-in No Limit hold'em World Championship. He told The Associated Press earlier this year he had retired from poker. Eastgate originally listed the bracelet at $16,000.
