Caesars taps general manager for High Roller observation wheel

12 December 2012

LAS VEGAS -- Caesars Entertainment Inc. named Eric Eberhart as general manager of the Las Vegas High Roller observation wheel, the centerpiece of the company's $550 million Linq development.

Eberhart most recently served as principal of an Orlando, Fla., entertainment consulting firm. One of his most recent projects involved Disney's California Adventure.

Prior to starting his consulting firm, Eberhart spent 26 years with the Walt Disney Co., working on the company's projects in Florida, California and Orlando.

The High Roller, a 550-foot-tall observation wheel, will have 28 glass-enclosed cabins and will take 30 minutes to complete one full revolution. Each cabin will accommodate up to 40 people. Once completed, the High Roller will be the tallest observation wheel in the world, eclipsing both the London Eye and the Singapore Flyer.

The Linq, which is under construction between the Flamingo and Imperial Palace, is a 300,000-square-foot outdoor dining, retail and entertainment attraction. The complex is expected to open in 2013.
