You don't have to wait for a controlled shooter28 March 2010
Dear Bernie: First the bad news: I don't think I said "wait" for a controlled shooter. I just said the 5-Count will save you money and if a controlled shooter appears you will be on him 11% more often than a player who bets on every roll of every shooter. So the bad news is what you already stated — you will go "broke" even playing the best bets that you are making and using the 5-Count. Second, the good news: If you go down to one single pass line with odds or one single come bet with odds, you will reduce the casino hit on your bankroll against these random rollers. If someone starts to have a good roll and looks as if he is a controlled shooter and you have made some money, then go to two bets, then three. I would recommend you continue to bet as you are betting. You seem to be a very intelligent player. Third, more good news: Open a 401G account to put money in on a regular basis. This will actually prevent you from going broke as you will always have funds replacing the funds you might have lost. Of course, when you win, place your wins in the 401G account. By the way, "G" stands for gambling. Make it an account where you get interest. Fourth, become a controlled shooter. For your letter, I am giving you a free 30-day subscription to my private members-only website at www.goldentouchcraps.com. We have over 5,000 members on this site and I think you will enjoy it. All the best in and out of the casinos! Frank Scoblete This article is provided by the Frank Scoblete Network. Melissa A. Kaplan is the network's managing editor.
