What should I do after the 5-count is completed?

Dear Frank,

I enjoy your site and find it very helpful. I bought your book and have found the 5-Count has cut my losses (57%) like you said it would.

My question is, after the 5-Count is completed do I go up on a come bet right away even if it is not a control shooter? It seems that nine out of 10 shooters are random shooters. Do I just make one come bet or more than one after the 5-Count control shooter or not?

Dear Benny:

If you are a controlled shooter than you can go up on as many numbers as you want when you are shooting. My recommendation is not to do that but to go up on three numbers, especially from the get-go.

As far as random rollers are concerned, the lowest possible pass line bet with odds and the lowest possible come bet with odds would be the best way to go. Use two bets per random roller (or even one if you wish) by going low on the contract bet and as high as you can afford on the odds.

Even with the 5-Count, you just can't get an edge over the random rollers. You just reduce their hit on your bankroll and get your normal array of comps.
