What are my chances of becoming a professional dice controller?7 August 2008
Dear Paulie: This letter came to me, but Dominator has a copy and I am sure he will write to you and tell you the following: Your chances of becoming a successful dice controller are not slim, they are none. You can't possibly be relaxed when the money you are betting is so needed by your family. Even the best dice controllers in Golden Touch have off days, weeks and months. You need a large bankroll in relation to the bets you must make. I'm guessing playing with family money, you would sweat all the action you were giving to the casinos — especially if you hit a big downturn, which is inevitable at various times in your playing career. Our recommendation at Golden Touch is simple for almost all players — use dice control for fun and profit, but do not even think of turning professional. There's just too much pressure. If you are playing with money you need for other things, those other things are going to impinge on your mind and screw up your performance. Dice control is not like card counting. In card counting you keep track of the cards but your state of being is little affected by what the count is. You don't make the count; you just bet into the count. In dice control, you make the house edges change; your skill is the prime ingredient, and that skill can be affected by numerous psychological states. So forget about dice control until you are back on your feet and have extra money to play with. Your family is much too important to make them hang on the turn of the dice. All the best in and out of the casinos! Frank Scoblete This article is provided by the Frank Scoblete Network. Melissa A. Kaplan is the network's managing editor.
