The Captain's 147-Number Roll

8 December 2005

Hi, Frank,

I just got through reading your article on "The Captain" and his 147 number hand on www.goldentouchcraps.com. That was really impressive. I am an aspiring craps player. I have just gotten into dice setting and rhythmic rolling and have found that it actually does swing the odds. I'm a skeptic at heart, so I had to give it a try and compare my findings against "chicken feeders" or people who don't set the dice. I was surprised at my outcome, setting the dice actually increased my advantage (using the hardway, 3V and stacked 6 roll).

If it wasn't already aparent I am a novice; I have only begun playing craps. It is in its essence the most invigorating game I have ever played. Even though I am a fairly conservative player, I'm not "Scared Money" so don't get me wrong. But I do put a lot of thought into what I'm doing at the table. I will be purchasing your book and look forward to reading it. I just wanted to drop a line and say hello and that I appreciated your article about "The Captain." I'm sure you get this request often, but if you are ever in Jersey, drop me a line, I would (as I'm sure most people who contact you) love to have a chat with you and play a little at the table. To quote a good writer, "All the best in and out of the casinos!"

Hope to talk to you soon.

Thanks,
Jeff.

Dear Jeff:

I am glad you enjoyed the article about the Captain's massive roll. In fact, we think it is the world record since Stanley Fujitake rolled 118 times in his 3 hour and 6 minute roll in 1989.

I also appreciate your invitation to come down to AC and play with you at the tables. I do get about two to three dozen requests a week from people and when I appear on television those skyrocket into the hundreds. I don't hesitate to play with others but I just can't make appointments.

Still the Captain plays in Atlantic City a lot and we have plenty of our Golden Touch members who have now played with him. That will be the thrill of a lifetime if you happen to get to play with the living legend.

All the best in and out of...well, you know the rest!
